As a setting that administers medication, it’s imperative that your team is comprehensively trained to do this safely and correctly.
Managing the medicines of an individual in a care setting takes patience, precision and practice. With the primary focus of delivering better care, continuously improving the training and knowledge of staff is essential.
Care professionals have responsibilities reflected in the NICE guidelines to delivering person-centred care when it comes to medications, and providing clear communication that is essential for the patient wellbeing.
This online medicine management course is a virtual toolkit designed to help you stay up to date on the guidelines and procedures of medicine management in a care setting, how to properly store and administer medicine, safeguarding the patients in your care and how to handle emergency scenarios.
