Michael Ellerby
Michael Ellerby is a Safety Professional with an international reputation. He is listed on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR), he is also a Chartered Safety Professional, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), a Chartered Chemist (CChem), and a Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (MIFSM). As well as a degree in Chemistry, he also holds a degree in law. In addition to other roles, he has acted as Competent Person (Head of the Safety Services Department) for the University of Sheffield. He is CIEH Certified Trainer and has written and delivered various training courses. Michael delivers Webinars and international Health and Safety Training Courses (several in the Middle East). He is a technical author, consultant editor, and reviewer of a wide range of safety publications for Companies such as Agora (Health and Safety Advisor) and previously for Croner (now Wolters Kluwer). Recent and current clients include Bureau Veritas, BioCity Group, several schools and academies in the Esat Midlands, EuroMaTech, Mentor Health, Spencer Academies Trust, DHL Air Ltd, EasyJet, Currie and Brown, and Sheffield University.
Mike regularly delivers Health and Safety training services in the Gulf region and Webinar Health and Safety sessions to the American market. He is currently delivering a range of Premises Audit Training courses and Residential Fire Safety Training for a London based client. He has worked as a Technical Manager, Production Manager and Safety Officer for a multi-national industrial company and has been a health and safety consultant for over eight years (including working for one of the largest consultancies in the United Kingdom). He is now the Director of a health and safety consultancy, which is involved with a diverse range of clients (e.g. manufacturing, facilities management, catering, warehousing, logistics, care services, publishing, leisure, etc)
COVID-19: Michael has been assisting many clients with their responses to the current Pandemic. This has included proving briefings, delivering Webinars, assisting with Risk Assessments, engaging with video discussions on a Planned, Phased Return to the Workplace, and similar activities.
