John Renshaw BChD MCGP FDSRCS Qualified Leeds in 1969. John was a GDP for 47 years in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and owned his own practice from 1972 onwards. He was a leading figure in the BDA and Local Dental Committees locally, regionally and nationally from 1972 to 2015. John was Chairman of the BDA’s Executive Board from 2000 to the end of 2005, and director of three NHS bodies for a total of 17 years in the 80s, 90s and 2000s. He has been an expert witness at GDC hearings and other places for 25 years. John’s area is general dental practice – NHS rules and regulations, record-keeping, fraud against the NHS and poor clinical performance. He has lectured extensively on record-keeping issues. Shilla Talati BDS graduated from Guys Hospital in 1999 and has been in general /private practice ever since. She was a partner MD of Dental Perfection in Coventry for several years where she had a special interest in the management side of her dental practice. She has run several courses for the GDP in general practice and is now involved in practice management issues including staff training, compliance monitoring, and staff motivation.
