Academy changes

The DfE has published the document Making Significant Changes to an Open Academy and Closure by Mutual Agreement. It includes information about the changes that an Academy might make and the procedures it needs to follow if it does.
Many small-scale changes can be carried out without consultation. However, there are some that affect clauses in funding agreements and these may require a business plan and the agreement of the Regional Schools Commissioner (RSC).
