The comprehensive nine module Pupil Premium Online Certificate will support the most effective use of your Pupil Premium and provide best practice guidance to help raise attainment and improve outcomes in your school.
The Certificate will guide you through the development of your strategy – including identifying the gap in your school, meeting different needs and tailoring approaches, and how you can prioritise high quality teaching in practice.
Further modules will examine best practice implementation of interventions and solutions, how to effectively monitor and evaluate impact, and looking beyond attainment and supporting wellbeing and social mobility.
The course will also assess latest Government policy and guidance, and ensure you know what Ofsted are looking for when inspecting your spend.

How does it work?
The course is fully online and designed for flexible, independent learning – you will have a year’s access to the course so you can learn at your own pace, and at times which suit you.
Delivered via our specialist online learning platform UNIQSKILLS, the course consists of training videos, written and downloadable materials, and a test at the end of each module to check your learning.

Matt Bromley
Matt Bromley is an education writer and advisor with over twenty years’ experience in teaching and leadership including as a secondary school headteacher and principal, FE college vice principal, and MAT director. He also works as a public speaker, trainer, and school improvement lead, and is a primary school governor.
Matt writes for various newspapers and magazines, sits on SecEd’s editorial board and co-hosts their podcast. He is the author of numerous best-selling books for teachers and his education blog has been voted one of the UK’s most influential.
He regularly speaks at national and international conferences and events, and provides education advice to charities, government agencies, training providers, colleges and multi-academy trusts. He works as a consultant and trainer with several companies and also provides a wide selection of direct-to-market consultancy and training services through his own company, Bromley Education, which he founded in 2012.
Matt has worked at senior levels in the public and private sectors and, prior to teaching, was a senior manager in the telecoms industry. He began his working life in newspaper journalism. He has an Honours degree in English Language and Literature, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and the National Professional Qualification for Headship, as well as several professional qualifications.
Nigel Bishop
In his role as a national trainer and consultant, as well as a qualified counsellor, former primary head teacher Nigel brings his wide experience of school-based learning and leadership to bear on a variety of current issues, notably data analysis, the Pupil Premium and learning support. His warmth and gentle humour combine with enthusiasm to revive those who learn with him, as well as equipping them to continue moving mountains.
