Speakers
Andrew Blench
Andrew Blench is the former School Business Manager for Dinnington High School in Rotherham. He has been an SBM since 2003 and in 2016 set up his consultancy company – School Business Partner. Andrew is currently a School Resource Management Advisor (SRMA) for the DfE, a Facilitator/Assessor/Coach for the L4 SBM Diploma with SBM Partnership and a Leadership and Management Coach. He has extensive experience in advising academies and LA Maintained Schools in the area of effective resource management, leadership and management and governance.
Nickii Messer
A well known national and international conference speaker, author, and contributor to many educational publications, Nickii is keen to help school leaders at all levels develop the skills and confidence to embrace the complex challenges facing schools today. With many years experience as a school business manager/director across three school phases, including seven years on the SLT of a leading edge secondary school, Nickii was instrumental in working with the National College to launch the SBM role and associated training programmes. In 2009, Nickii formed her company, All The Geese, to specialise in training, developing and promoting school business management and leadership. Steve Burnage
Having spent over 25 years teaching and leading high schools across the UK, Steve is a sought after as an expert practitioner, consultant, and trainer. He specialises in developing effective school leadership; and the key areas of outstanding learning and teaching including inclusive learning, positive behaviour management, marking, feedback and assessment, performance management, staff development, coaching and mentoring and the performing arts.
Steve writes, delivers and hosts training and consultancy in schools, colleges, academies and conference venues throughout the UK, Europe, The Indian Subcontinent, Central and southern Asia and the Middle East as well as supporting organisations in planning, producing and delivering on-line and blended learning education courses.
Steve is a principal examiner and lead trainer for Cambridge International Examinations, The International Baccalaureate, and the British Council. In addition, Steve is the lead trainer for Cambridge online professional development across the world.
